I can understand when you say hiding behind existing characters is a lame thing to do because people fall for it so much but erm... clock crew much? to bring up a clock insult is wrong even though the name is massively shared with the slight differences it doesn't really reflect on each animators unique personality and to borrow a theme from another is not punishable unless the story line has the same value and the animations resemble said movie i agree that with unique plots it is an individual film look at all the resemblance in any other parodie (to many words to say)

even so... sprite movies are a huge part of newgrounds, founding over 20 series, 15 collections, and over 3000 sprite submissions, good and bad.
it would cut newgrounds down quite a bit, and it would ruin some of mine, and other's favorite movies on this site. first of all, very few of the featured flash's on newgrounds are about origional in characters.
please, stop complaining about the facts of newgrounds. its not a big deal
its not a big deal to you the user, it is a big deal when you are a flash artist who has put weeks or even months into a flash only to have it beaten by something that can take as little as 3 days to make.
